New Year Resolutions 2025 - Redux

It was 9 years ago that I imagined as to what new year resolutions by different (read important) folks may look like. I read that post again yesterday and realized that if I were to write about those 'fictional yet highly possible' resolutions it would be a redux for the most part - i.e. if I were to reproduce that here and just remove the 2016 year from the title you would think I just wrote it.

Does it mean that the kaal chakra has, in that parallel universe that such people normally exist, stopped turning? Have they found the secret elixir to longevity? As such thoughts race through my sleep deprived mind; its 2 am in the morning of the 1st., I am awake because I haven't thought of my resolutions and I know that I will be asked for it in the morning; disappointing the eagerly awaiting nation that wants to know.

So I go back and read that post again (and I have provided a convenient link below) in the hope that I could see something different emerge;

Ok 500 kms of road is passe, maybe it is 150 km of underground roads. Or that famous actor who by now should have made that driverless car (or at least invested in Tesla or Nio) can add bullet proofing as a resolution.

That's it. Everything else could still be said, some due to the ongoing nature of the resolution and others as its not been achieved as yet.

A few more characters that come to mind given recent events;

The coach of the world's number one test cricket team resolving to announce that the captain will sit out due to 'an injury' (to his ego?) The captain himself resolving to wear his boots even while sleeping, at least till the series is over. And the board passing a resolution to get both to step down?

The states of Andhra and Telangana resolving to come together and file a class-action on the H1B matter fearing a fall in the dowry and wedding budgets

Checked again, no change to what BBMP or the Opposition or the others would resolve to do.

Neither has mine !

What ? - Have you not gone back and read the NYR 2016 blog as yet ?
